The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a domestic disturbance that occurred northwest of Sheldon. Upon further investigation it is alleged that 30-year-old Joshua Kruse of Sheldon had assaulted his wife. Kruse was arrested for Domestic Assault, a serious misdemeanor. The Iowa State Patrol and O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a domestic assault that occurred in rural Boyden. Upon further investigation, officers at the scene believe a 14-year-old boy assaulted his 12-year-old sister, causing minor bruising injuries to her face, arm and chest. The injuries did not require medical attention. The boy was cited into juvenile court for serious assault and was released to an adult family member residing in Sheldon. The Iowa State Patrol assisted at the scene.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into a report of inappropriate sexual contact involving three juvenile boys in Hull on Thursday as well. A concerned citizen who was aware of the situation provided the information. As a result of the investigation, it was found that a 15-year-old boy from Hull allegedly committed inappropriate acts against a 12-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy from Hull. The boy was charged with sex abuse, 3rd degree, an aggravated misdemeanor. The case was referred to juvenile court.
