The Dordt Defender men’s cross country team finished won the GPAC Championship run in Sioux Center on Saturday morning, November 9. The title was the Defenders second in a row and came in dominating fashion.
The Defenders had six runners in the top-11 and totaled 28 points while Doane was second with 44 points.
The Defenders were led by Eric Steiger and Jacob Vander Plaats who finished 2-3 in times of 25:26 and were separated by less than a second.
Brooks De Waard and Nic Veldhorst were 6-7 in 25:44 and 25:45. Dordt’s scoring five was completed by Josh Rupprecht with a time of 25:53.
Doane’s Alec Wick won the individual title with a time of 25:05.
