Rock Valley, Iowa — The Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Nighthawks won their second straight game 36-8 over the Sheldon Orabs Friday night in Rock Valley.

BHRV broke the scoring drought in the first quarter when Kaleb Ackerman was called for intentional grounding in the endzone, and the Nighthawks had a 2-0 lead. The Nighthawks scored again late in the first quarter when Josh Heitritter was on the receiving end of a 35 yard touchdown pass from Tanner Te Slaa to make it 9-0.

Gavin Dykstra added to the Nighthawks lead with a one yard punch, and Kodi Noble had a 41 yard touchdown run to make it 23-0 at the half.

The Nighthawks added two more scores in the third to push the lead to 36-0 heading into the final quarter.

Sheldon finally got on the board in the fourth when Mitchel Wolf scored on the 65 yard catch and run. The final would be 36-8.

The Nighthawks improve to 2-5 on the year, 2-1 in the district. Sheldon falls to 2-5 on the year and 1-2 in  district play.

Up next for the Nighthawks is a road to MOC-Floyd Valley, and Sheldon will host Okoboji.
