Rock Valley, Iowa — Three people were taken to the hospital, and one other sought medical treatment on their own, after a single-vehicle rollover crash at 320th Street and Fir Avenue, two miles southwest of Rock Valley shortly before 6:00 Thursday evening.

Sioux County deputies say the crash occurred when a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 18-year-old Chloe Koedam,  of Rock Valley was westbound on 320th Street. Authorities say Koedam lost control of her vehicle, entered the north ditch and rolled.

Koedam and two passengers were transported by private vehicle to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley for treatment of their injuries; a third passenger reported minor injuries and sought medical treatment on their own.

Deputies say the Chevrolet sustained approximately $4,000 in damage.

Koedam was cited for failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Rock Valley Fire, Rock Valley Ambulance and Rock Valley Police Department.
