Hull, Iowa — A Hull man was arrested on a felony charge early on Wednesday.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that in the 3 a.m. hour, one of their deputies arrested 23-year-old John Carr of Hull.

The arrest stemmed from a report of a domestic disturbance that occurred at a Hull home.

Upon further investigation, deputies believe that Carr assaulted a male victim inside the home.

Carr was charged with domestic assault third offense, which is a class D felony in Iowa. According to Iowa code, Carr could face up to five years in prison and a fine of between $750 and $7,500 if he’s convicted. A check of court records indicates no court dates have yet been set.
