Dakota Wesleyan led almost start to finish and handed Dordt a 15-point loss in a match up of rated teams Wednesday night in Sioux Center.

Dordt scored the first two points of the game but Wesleyan took the lead 4-2 and maintained control throughout.

Dordt was down 20-15 at the end of the first quarter with Annie Rhinesmith scoring the final basket of the quarter after Dordt trailed by as many as eight in the frame.

The hosts closed to as few as three on several occasions in the second quarter but allowed four unanswered after getting within 37-34 and trailed 43-36 when the half came to a close.

The lead quickly hit double figures and Dordt drew to within six but no closer in the third and fourth quarters.  The game was put out of reach when Wesleyan scored 10 straight to turn a 67-60 lead into an eventual 77-60 lead before the final of 81-66.
