Hospers, Iowa — A Hospers man has been arrested on a harassment charge.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Tuesday evening (1/6), one of their deputies arrested 53-year-old David Vande Weerd of Hospers on a charge of Third Degree Harassment.

The arrest stemmed from a complaint received by the Sheriff’s Office on January 8 in the 4 PM hour, stating that Vande Weerd was harassing someone by sending repeated messages.

Bond was set at $500. Vande Weerd was released the next day.
