Sioux Center, Iowa — On Wednesday, January 9, at 8:25 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of 430th Street and Harrison Avenue, two miles south of Sioux Center.

Matthew Loutsch, age 38, of Remsen was driving a 2011 Freightliner pulling a milk tanker westbound on 430th Street. Jared Bomgaars, age 23, of Hull was driving a 1991 International straight truck southbound on Harrison Ave. The Freightliner struck the International in the intersection.

No injuries were reported.

Both vehicles sustained approximately $2,000 in damages.

Loutsch was cited for failure to yield to the right.
