On Sunday, January 30 at 7:15 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a traffic accident that
occurred on the overpass of Highway 60, just south of Alton, IA.
Adam Ferris, age 29, of Sioux City, IA, was northbound on Highway 60 driving a 2006 
Pontiac Grand Prix sedan when the rear drivers’ side tire broke off. Ferris lost control of his vehicle which then hit the guardrail of the overpass. No injuries were reported. Ferris was wearing his seatbelt. Read The Full Story…
On Saturday, January 29, at 1:13 pm, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a traffic accident that occurred on Hwy 18, just east of Rock Valley, IA.
Terrence Hubbard, age 20, of Rock Valley was driving a 1999 Ford Taurus westbound on Hwy 18 near Fig Ave. when he lost control of his vehicle which then entered the south ditch and struck a large building owned by A & I products.
Hubbard was transported by Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley for non life threatening injuries.
Damage to the Taurus is estimated at $4,000 and damage to the building is estimated at $3,000.
Hubbard is suspected to have been impaired at the time of the accident; the accident remains under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Rock Valley Fire, Ambulance, and Police Department.
On Friday, January 28 at 5:51 pm, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of 2nd St. and Chestnut St., in Hull, IA.
On Thursday, January 27 at 7:47 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call that was received from 1119 2nd Street in Hull, IA. The caller, Gary Kats, age 49, who resides at this location, reported that his wife needed an ambulance due to a medical emergency. Read The Full Story… 
On Monday January 24, at 6:30 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated an accident that occurred on 310th St., two miles west of Hull, IA. Loren VanDyk, age 52, of Hull was westbound on 310th Street driving a 1995 Saturn. VanDyk lost control of his vehicle and became stuck along the north side of the road.
